Theme 1: Biology and behavior of Chenin Blanc in a changing environment
Issues to be addressed: The aim of this theme is to address the scientific and technical knowledge in relation to the biology of Chenin up to this date, and discuss future research to be undertaken on the capacity of Chenin Blanc to adapt itself.
Considered contributions: The abstracts on this theme should cover ampelography and genetic or phenotypic characteristics of Chenin Blanc. Results of studies on the intra-varietal diversity of the varietal, its conservation or its agronomic selection could be presented as well as all work about nursery aspects such as plant production, grafting etc.
Work on other varietals could also be presented on the condition that a connection is made with the characteristics of Chenin Blanc (inter-varietal comparison : capacity to express terroirs, versatility, sensory characteristics such as freshness, minerality etc.
